Community Inclusion

Our integrated community inclusion services are an exciting and engaging way to participate in everyday community life.  The program supports recreational and educational assistance to small groups of individuals in the community for up to 30 hours a week. Recreational and leisure activities include local events and festivals, sporting events, museums, parks, and beaches. Educational activities include vocational skills, volunteering, and relationship building.

Self-Advocacy

Self-advocacy is all about finding your voice. It helps people recognize their strengths, interests, and abilities. When participants learn to express what they need they feel more confident. This newfound confidence empowers them to make choices that truly reflect their desires. In this way, self-advocacy is not just a skill but a vital tool for personal growth.

Vocational

Vocational skills are important for finding a job. They teach people the skills they need to succeed in the workplace. Many participants get hands-on experience by volunteering at places like soup kitchens. This not only helps them learn but also boosts their confidence. When they contribute they feel a sense of purpose and pride in their work.

Physical Fitness

Exercise plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health and well-being. That's why we prioritize health and fitness through daily activities like exercise classes, sports, and walks. Our aim is to seamlessly integrate health and fitness into the daily routines of our participants.

Social Skills

Socialization is an essential skill for building and maintaining relationships. Our activities are designed to incorporate key social skills, including interpersonal communication, social problem-solving, and active listening. By focusing on these areas, we help individuals enhance their ability to connect with others and navigate social situations effectively.

Money Management

Effective money management is crucial for everyday life. Visiting local shops and malls offers a fun, practical way to engage with money and save for their favorite treats. Participants put their learned skills into practice during these activities. By shopping and dining at nearby restaurants, they get to make purchases, manage their funds, and order meals from real menus in real-life settings.

Recreational Activities

The Hearten Inclusion Program focuses on broadening experiences through community engagement. Daily outings allow participants to discover local sights, attend events, and take part in fun activities. These experiences help them practice social skills and build relationships beyond the program. Whether at the farmer's market, enjoying a day in the park, or helping out with community service, each outing fosters a sense of belonging and highlights the importance of community.
